God’s Got a Plan for You
Come on up here and sit a spell. The morning’s stretching awake, the breeze is soft as a hymn, and God’s mercies are fresh as dew on the grass. Whatever yesterday held, today starts with faith, and that’s a mighty fine foundation.
Now, I don’t know about you, but sometimes my GPS acts like it’s been sniffin’ too much engine grease. It’ll tell me to turn right, then left, then right again, only to plop me right back where I started. Makes about as much sense as a rooster trying to do algebra.
But the Lord once gave His people a guidance system that never glitched, a cloud by day and a fire by night. When it moved, they moved. When it stopped, they stopped. Simple as that.
And here’s the good news: we’ve got something even better. We’ve got the Spirit of God Himself living inside us. Not a cloud overhead, not a fire in the sky yet something far closer. A holy whisper in the heart. A nudge in the soul. A steadying peace when the road ahead looks twistier than a mountain switchback.
Scripture says your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. That means you’re not wandering alone, guessing your way through life. You’re carrying divine direction everywhere you go. Even when God’s leading doesn’t make sense and even when it feels like He’s rerouting you through the scenic route, He knows exactly what He’s doing.
We make our plans, sure enough. But heaven has the final say. And unlike that confused GPS on your dashboard, God never recalculates because He never gets it wrong.
Father, when I can’t see the road ahead, remind me that You can. Help me surrender my plans, trust Your timing, and rest in Your faithfulness. Let Your peace speak louder than my fear. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Now step right on off this porch and right into your day with this truth tucked deep in your heart: you are guided, indwelt, and dearly loved by the God who never misleads. When the path twists, trust Him. When the way feels unclear, follow His peace. Let today be the day you walk with confidence, not because you know the route, but because you know the One who leads.
With joy,
Gwen
