About Gwen Craig, Ed.D.
Gwen Lamprecht Craig is a Christian inspirational speaker, music evangelist, author, educator, and healthcare chaplain from Gonzales, Texas. Raised in a musical family, she began singing duets with her brother at age nine and has spent much of her life singing, playing piano, teaching, and serving in churches.
Gwen accepted Christ at six, was baptized at seven, and sensed God’s call to ministry at twelve. She earned degrees from Howard Payne University and Southwestern Seminary, later completed a doctorate, and devoted 35 years to education. Following the death of her husband of 34 years in 2016, Gwen’s grief deepened her calling to walk beside others in pain. She became a certified grief recovery specialist and completed a yearlong Clinical Pastoral Education residency with Ascension Seton.
In 2018, Gwen married Sam Craig, a widowed music evangelist. Together they serve through Sam Craig Ministries, sharing music, preaching, missions, and encouragement across the United States and abroad. Gwen also leads Bible studies, teaches chaplaincy skills, writes daily devotionals, and speaks to women with warmth, honesty, faith, and plenty of holy humor.
Her devotional debut book, Grace on the Front Porch: 52 Weeks of Holy Humor and Hope, reflects her belief that God often does His finest work in ordinary moments and that grace, laughter, and hope are always worth sharing.
