Feed Your Soul

Mercy sakes, friend, as you step into a brand‑new day, don’t you go forgetting to feed more than your belly. Your soul’s hungry too, and it’s got a mighty particular appetite. It doesn’t want biscuits or bacon, though those never hurt, but, no, it wants Scripture. Real, God‑breathed, straight‑from‑Heaven nourishment. The kind that sticks to your ribs in all the right ways.

Paul said, “All Scripture is God‑breathed…” (2 Timothy 3:16-17), which is Bible talk for, “This ain’t just good advice from some smart fellas.” Every word is straight from the mouth of God, like holy oxygen for your spirit. It teaches you what’s right, points out what’s wrong, shows you how to get right, and helps you stay right. That’s better than any self‑help book, conference, or podcast with a fancy intro.

Truth is, a lot of folks today are ‘a-starvin’ spiritually while ‘a-sittin’ at a buffet. They’re ‘a-nibblin’ on social media, ‘a-snackin’ on culture, and 'a-takin’ big ol’ bites of everybody’s opinions. Then they wonder why they feel lost, tired, and about as steady as a three‑legged chair.

But God’s Word? Oh, buttercup, it’ll furnish your soul like a fully stocked farmhouse with every drawer filled, every shelf sturdy, not a thing ‘a-missin’. When Scripture equips you, you’re not ‘a-limpin’ into life half‑prepared. You’re ‘a-walkin’ out the door fully supplied, boots tied, heart steady, and spirit strong.

So, quit ‘a-lookin’ everywhere else for answers. Pull up a chair, open that Bible, and let God talk to you. His Word is alive. His Word is enough. His Word is your daily bread.

Lord, give me a hunger for Your Word today. Let it guide me, steady me, and shape me. Feed my spirit with Your truth and help me walk it out with joy. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Now carry this here truth with you like a compass in your pocket: God’s Word doesn’t just inform you; it equips you. It strengthens your steps, clears your vision, and anchors your hope when life starts ‘a-blowin’ like a Texas windstorm. So, walk into this day knowing the One who breathed out Scripture is the same One who holds you. His truth is enough. His presence is enough, and with His Word as your daily bread, you’ll lack nothing you need.

With joy,

Gwen
