Embracing God’s Unfathomable Gifts

Hey, there, friend, pull up a rocking chair and let me tell you somethin’. Sometimes life feels like you’re tryin’ to herd chickens in a windstorm with feathers flyin’, nerves frayin’, and you wonder if the Good Lord’s even watchin’. But friend, the same God who splashed sunrise across the sky like a painter with a brand‑new brush is the One stitchin’ beauty into your story right this very minute.

In 1 Corinthians 2:9 Paul said it best, “What no eye has seen, no ear has heard, nor even tip‑toed into the human heart, that’s what God’s got cookin’ for those who love Him.” In other words, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Those early Christians in Corinth were shakier than a rickety, ole’ porch swing with one loose chain. Folks were fussin’, fearin’, and forgettin’ who was really in charge. So, Paul grabbed his pen and hollered across the centuries, “Remember what God already did!” Jesus had stomped death flatter than a June bug on a Texas highway. If God handled that, He can handle whatever’s keepin’ you up at night.

See, our eyes get distracted by the mess, our ears get clogged with bad news, and our hearts, well, bless ’em, they dream too small. God’s plans make our biggest hopes look like messy doodles in the margins. He’s got symphonies we haven’t heard, wonders we haven’t seen, and blessings we haven’t even begun to imagine.

And loving God? That’s just walkin’ with Him, trustin’ Him, leanin’ in close enough to hear Him whisper, “I’m not done with you yet.”

Lord, thank You for dreamin’ bigger dreams for me than I could ever cook up on my own. Settle my heart when it starts runnin’ wild with worry, and remind me of all You’ve already done. Help me trust Your goodness, walk with courage, and keep my eyes peeled for the blessings You’re sneakin’ into my days. I love You, and I’m grateful You’re leadin’ me somewhere better than I can imagine. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

So, today, take a deep breath, get that chin up, child of God, and let gratitude hum in your chest like a porch‑side hymn and hope shine like a lantern on a dark trail. The goodness He’s prepared doesn’t start someday. It starts right now in small mercies, quiet surprises, and the steady truth that the best is still on its way ‘cause our story’s headed somewhere that is so unimaginably glorious!

With joy,

Gwen
